Can you believe we’re already over halfway through the year? As summer heats up and the calendar flips to July, it’s a great time to pause, reflect, and enjoy everything that makes this season and our downtown community so special.
Independence Day is Almost Here!
As we prepare to celebrate Independence Day, we want to wish you and your families a safe and joyful holiday! Let’s take a moment to appreciate the freedoms we enjoy and the community we’re proud to be part of. Break out that flag shirt you’ve been saving since 2003 and have a fun and safe holiday filled with way too much food and great memories. And don’t forget, after the Sod Poodles game on the 4th, you can catch an incredible fireworks show from outside the Amarillo Building or even from your office window. Let’s celebrate freedom, fun, and all things local in the heart of downtown!
Independence Day + 1 - July 5
Looking for one more way to celebrate the holiday weekend? Join the Amarillo community for Independence Day +1 on Saturday, July 5, at John Stiff Park. Hosted by the City of Amarillo Parks and Recreation Department in partnership with Outdoor Amarillo, this event is a great opportunity to support local vendors, enjoy time with family and friends, and celebrate our city. Starting at 3:30 PM, you’ll find food trucks on Eat Street, a Kids Zone, Beer Garden, Cornhole Tournament, live performances, and a Fireworks & Drone Show at 9:45 PM. Ladies' Night Bingo

It’s BYOB and bring a dessert to share, join us for an evening of laughter, prizes, and a little friendly competition with your Amarillo Building neighbors! Open to our community of tenants only.
SodTown Fest – July 18–20
Downtown Amarillo is turning up the volume! HODGETOWN will host their first-ever SodTown Fest, a 3-day music festival that brings together country music, local pride, and community impact. Proceeds benefit Family Support Services of Amarillo, supporting survivors of abuse, at-risk families, veterans, and more. Whether you're into big-name acts or just want to support a great cause, this is the perfect way to enjoy summer in the city. Grab your friends, walk over from the Amarillo Building, and make a weekend of it! Get tickets and details at sodtownfest.com.
A Symphony Under the Stars!
On Saturday, September 6, our very own tenants, the Amarillo Symphony, are taking over HODGETOWN for an unforgettable night of John Williams’ greatest hits, think Star Wars, E.T., Jurassic Park, and more. Dress up as your favorite character and enjoy a night of movie magic and music, topped off with a fireworks show! We’re excited to announce that our brand-new digital tenant directory is now live in the lobby! This sleek, easy-to-use system makes it simple to find exactly where you're headed, quickly see which floor a business is on, and which elevator to take. It’s organized, alphabetized, and always up to date to make navigating the Amarillo Building even easier.
