You’re Invited: Frame by Frame
After months of collecting, sorting, and looking through some incredible pieces of Amarillo history, we are finally ready to share the finished result.
On Thursday, September 10, from 5 to 6:30 p.m., we’ll officially unveil Frame by Frame, our new permanent art installation featuring 100 photographs that celebrate 100 years of Amarillo history. Many of the images were generously shared by people across our community, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who took the time to dig through old albums, family collections, and archives to help bring this project to life.
Before the public event begins, we’re hosting a special pre-party just for Amarillo Building tenants beginning at 4:15 p.m. At 4:30 p.m., we’ll gather in the lobby for the official 100-year photo of the Amarillo Building. Everyone who works in the building is invited to be part of this historic photograph! Then, at 5 p.m., the celebration opens to the community. We hope you’ll stay for the cocktail hour, take time to explore the collection, and help us celebrate the people, places, and moments that have shaped Amarillo over the past century.
And please invite others to join us. We would love for our tenants to bring friends, colleagues, clients, and anyone who might enjoy seeing the collection or getting a closer look at the Amarillo Building. If you know someone who is considering a move downtown or looking for office space, this is the perfect opportunity to introduce them to our building community and show them what makes this such a special place to work.
We are proud of how Frame by Frame came together and can’t wait to share it with our entire community. Mark your calendar for September 10, join us early for the tenant pre-party and 100-year photo, and help us celebrate a century of history together.
September Will Hit all the Right Notes!
A new season of music begins this September with Chamber Music Amarillo and the Amarillo Symphony, offering two very different ways to enjoy live music.
Chamber Music Amarillo will present a musical journey through Austria, America, and France on September 12 at 7:30 p.m. The WT Faculty Woodwind Quintet and pianist Dr. Sarah Rushing will perform works by Mozart, Barber, Saint-Saëns, and Poulenc in an evening that highlights the color and range of chamber music.
The Amarillo Symphony opens its 2026-27 season on September 18 and 19 at 7:30 p.m. at the Globe-News Center for the Performing Arts. The program will feature Barber’s Violin Concerto, performed by violinist Aubree Oliverson, along with Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4 and Alex Berko’s Look Up, conducted by George Jackson.
It’s a great month to get back into the concert hall and enjoy some of the incredible music happening right here in Amarillo.
The Tri-State Fair & Rodeo Returns!
It’s time to enjoy another great Amarillo tradition, and you can catch part of the fun right from the steps of the Amarillo Building! The Tri-State Fair & Rodeo returns September 18 through 27, bringing 10 days of food, rides, rodeo action, entertainment, and plenty of fair fun to Amarillo.
Of course, one of our favorite parts happens right here downtown. The annual Tri-State Fair & Rodeo Parade will make its way down Polk Street on Saturday, September 19, beginning at 10 a.m. The parade passes right by the Amarillo Building, giving our building community one of the best spots downtown to take it all in.
So grab a spot outside, enjoy the parade, and help us kick off another great Tri-State Fair & Rodeo!
September brings the first hints of a new season, we’re looking forward to another great month at the Amarillo Building. Thank you for being part of our community and for helping make this such a special place to work each day.
