Melodies of the Season: Chamber Music and Symphony Performances
Chamber Music Amarillo invites you to immerse yourself in the vibrant colors of chamber music with a captivating program of masterpieces by Debussy, Prokofiev, and Schubert, as it presents Painting with Notes on November 15 at the Arts in Sunset Center. A pre-talk hosted by HPPR begins at 6:45 p.m., followed by the concert at 7:30 p.m.
The Amarillo Symphony will present The Planets on November 21 and 22. This concert features Holst’s iconic suite alongside the U.S. premiere of Dani Howard’s The Butterfly Effect and Debussy’s evocative Deux Nocturnes. Female choruses from WTAMU and Canyon High School join the performance, creating an unforgettable musical journey. All concerts will be held at the Globe-News Center for the Performing Arts. A Lunch and Listen event for the program will take place on November 21.
Visit the symphony’s website to learn more about these performances.
A Time to Give…
The Amarillo Area Foundation is gearing up for The Panhandle Gives, a nine-day charitable giving event supporting nonprofits across the Texas Panhandle. In 2024, this community-wide effort raised nearly $12 million for organizations making a difference right here at home.
Several of those nonprofits are located right here in the Amarillo Building, and we hope you’ll consider supporting one of them — or your favorite local organization — during this year’s campaign.
