Help Us Tell Amarillo’s Story: 100 Photos for 100 Years
As part of our centennial celebration, the Historic Amarillo Building is launching a special community project, and we hope you will be part of it.
Over the years, this building has been more than office space. It has stood as a witness to Amarillo’s growth, its people, and the moments that have shaped our community. Now, we want to celebrate that history by creating a permanent photographic exhibit inside the building featuring images submitted by people across Amarillo.
Do you have an old family photo on Polk Street? A snapshot of a long-gone landmark? A parade, storefront, neighborhood gathering, or a moment in Amarillo history tucked away in a photo album? We would love to see it. From everyday life to defining community moments, we are looking for photographs that capture the spirit of Amarillo from 1925 to today. Selected images will become part of a permanent display in the building as a living tribute to the people and places that built this city.
Submissions are open now and will continue through July 15, and we hope our Amarillo Building community will help spread the word, search through old photographs, and participate in this special centennial project.
To submit a photo or learn more, contact Misty Pulliam at 806-342-4700 or email misty@3923mgmt.com.
Here’s to celebrating 100 years by preserving the stories that brought us here, while looking ahead to the future we continue to build together!
Parking Made Easy!
One of the many conveniences of working at the Amarillo Building is something every downtown office can’t always say… we have plenty of parking! From reserved tenant parking and guest spaces to our parking garage and open surface parking, we have options to make access easy for tenants and visitors alike. We thought this would be a good reminder of the parking available around the building and hope it is a helpful reference.

And while we’re on the subject of convenience, we also have office spaces available and would love your help spreading the word. If you know a business looking for a great place to office in downtown Amarillo, we hope you’ll talk us up. There is something special about this building and the community inside it, and we’d love to welcome more great neighbors.
Help Us Support the Clean Start Hygiene Fair
One of the things we love most about the Amarillo Building is the way our community comes together to support meaningful work across Amarillo. This summer, we have another opportunity to do just that.
Our friends at the Coalition of Health Services are preparing for the Clean Start Back to School Hygiene Fair, set for August 1 at Sam Houston Park. Last year, the event served 600 people, helping local families with basic hygiene items and household essentials as they prepared for the new school year.
Beginning this month and continuing through July, we will be supporting the effort with a building-wide donation drive and invite you to lend a helping hand. Items such as soap, shampoo, toothpaste, detergent, dish soap, and toilet paper are especially needed. The goal is simple but meaningful: help every family leave with essential items that make the start of the school year a little easier.
There are several ways to help. You can contribute hygiene products through the donation drive, volunteer at the event, or support the effort through a monetary gift that will help purchase needed supplies.
This is one of those projects that reflects the very best of our community, and we hope you’ll consider joining in. Watch for details on donation drop-off locations in the building in the coming weeks. If you would like to learn more or volunteer as a vendor, contact DeDe Martinez at (806) 570-4375.
Music, Monopoly and a Great Cause
Chamber Music Amarillo is putting a playful spin on an evening out with Pass GO!, a special fundraising event on May 8 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Arts in the Sunset.
Inspired by the classic board game, the evening will feature fine food, drinks, live music, and plenty of fun, with guests playing for prizes using Monopoly money along the way. There will also be a reverse drawing, wine and whiskey pulls, and plenty of chances to test your luck while supporting Chamber Music Amarillo.
It promises to be a lively evening that brings together music lovers and community supporters for a great cause. As they say, do not pass go without making plans to attend! Learn more here.
We hope everyone has a great month!
