2020 JEAN DRIVE – FOR GUYON SAUNDERS RESOURCE CENTER

The year 2020 has been difficult for most of us, but for some it led to extreme challenges such as homelessness and hunger. COVID-19 has made it complicated for some charities to receive donations and the public has been reluctant to go volunteer, so now more than ever, those people needing your help.

The Guyon Saunders Resource Center, located here in Amarillo, serves almost 200 homeless men and women. Right now, they are in dire need of jeans. Particularly mens sizes 32-38, but any others are greatly appreciated.

We are asking you to go through your closets and find any gently used jeans or pants that you’re willing to part with and drop them off at a box located outside of the Doshier, Pickens & Francis office, Suite 801 of the Amarillo Building. If you would rather, we are also collecting cash to purchase new jeans from Walmart. The Guyon Saunders website also lists an Amazon wish list of household items they accept year-round.

We will be taking these donations daily as they are in immediate need. Thank you for your consideration and kindness to help the ones that need it most! For any questions, please call Evelyn Conners, Volunteer Coordinator at the Guyon Saunders Resource Center, at 806-676-1525.

Best wishes for the New Year!

The Doshier, Pickens
